Community Guidelines
Clear expectations for listings, conversations, payments and a safer campus marketplace.
1. Treat people with respect
Communicate without harassment, threats, hate speech, discrimination or sexual intimidation. A disagreement about an order is not permission to abuse someone, publish their details or contact them repeatedly after being asked to stop.
Use messages to explain the product or resolve the purchase. Do not send spam, unsolicited sexual content or unrelated promotional messages. If a conversation becomes unsafe, keep evidence and use support rather than retaliate.
2. Describe what you actually sell
Photos and descriptions should match the item, its condition, quantity and relevant specifications. Disclose defects, wear, missing accessories and whether something is used or reconditioned. Keep price and availability current.
Do not invent a warranty, rating, affiliation or verification state. Do not copy another seller’s photographs without permission. Ask about unclear details before ordering, and do not substitute a different item without the buyer’s agreement.
3. Keep unlawful and unsafe items out
Do not offer stolen or counterfeit goods, unlawful substances, unregulated medicines, weapons, ammunition or explosive items. Products that pose an unreasonable safety risk, fraudulent documents and items you have no right to sell do not belong here.
Do not sell leaked examinations, pre-written work intended for academic dishonesty, impersonation or account-access services. A listing must comply with applicable law and campus restrictions; a category appearing in the interface is not legal permission to sell within it.
4. Do not manipulate trust
Do not manufacture reviews, coordinate fake purchases, create misleading accounts or use another account to evade a restriction. Reviews and reports should describe an actual experience and must not be traded for money or threatened as leverage.
Do not claim to represent Debelu, a campus authority or a payment provider unless authorized. Never use a fake verification badge or a campaign image to imply an actual endorsement.
5. Protect accounts and private information
Keep passwords, login codes and session links private. The delivery PIN is for completing an inspected handover; it is not a support credential. Do not pressure a buyer to share it early or ask them to disclose bank authentication information.
Do not post student IDs, matriculation numbers, private addresses, financial details or another person’s contact information in public content. Use buyer details only for the transaction and a lawful follow-up, as explained in the Vendor Agreement.
6. Keep payments connected to the order
Use the official order payment flow so payment can be held and reviewed under the vault rules. A direct transfer or cash arrangement outside Debelu cannot be held or recovered through Debelu’s vault. Do not send a suspicious payment link or demand a second payment to obtain a refund.
This limitation on the vault does not cancel rights available under law. Read How It Works for inspection, release and the three-day automatic-release rule.
7. Arrange a careful handover
Confirm the location, timing and what is being delivered or collected. Choose a safe arrangement and do not continue with a meetup that makes you uncomfortable. Sellers should allow inspection; buyers should check the item and communicate a problem clearly.
Do not falsely mark an order delivered or invent evidence. If an item is wrong, keep the delivery PIN private and report the issue from the order. See safety guidance and dispute guidance.
8. Report problems with useful evidence
Use an available reporting control or email safety@debelu.com for unsafe content or conduct. For a particular order, contact help@debelu.com with its reference and the issue.
Include relevant screenshots, listing details or photos, but hide credentials and unrelated personal information. Report facts accurately. An urgent threat to physical safety may require the appropriate emergency or law-enforcement service; a platform report is not an emergency response.
9. How moderation can respond
Depending on the issue, Debelu may warn a person, remove content, limit features, temporarily restrict an account or terminate access. The response should consider the seriousness, evidence, repeated conduct and risks to others.
Not every allegation proves a violation. Where lawful and safe, the affected person should receive a useful reason. Some details may be withheld to protect another person’s privacy, preserve an investigation or avoid enabling abuse.
10. Requesting reconsideration
If you believe a restriction or removal missed important evidence, contact support with the account or listing reference, the decision and a clear explanation. Do not bypass the restriction through another account or pressure the reporting person.
Moderation does not automatically forfeit a lawful balance or decide every payment dispute. Outstanding orders, refunds and statutory rights still need appropriate handling. See the Terms for the broader process.
