What verification means on Debelu.
How Debelu checks who is selling on your campus.
1. Why we check sellers
Debelu is built around campus communities. Seller applications are reviewed to assess the supplied store and campus information before seller access is approved. Review does not guarantee that every person, listing or transaction is safe, and creating an account does not itself verify identity or campus status.
2. What you send us
When you apply to sell from your Debelu account, you give:
- Your store name and a short description of what you sell.
- Your campus, which is where your listings will appear.
- A clear photo of your student ID card or admission letter.
3. How the review works
Our team checks your application by hand. You get a notification when it is approved, or a reason if it is not, so you can fix it and apply again. Once approved, you can list items straight away.
4. The verified badge
Stores the Debelu team has additionally confirmed show a verified badge next to their name on their store page. It tells buyers that Debelu knows who runs the store.
Application approval and this additional badge are different states. Not every active store has a verified badge. Check the status on the actual store; a badge is not a guarantee of every listing, product condition or transaction outcome.
5. Keeping your store
Counterfeit listings, scams, or repeated breaches of the Community Guidelines can lead to listings being taken down, the badge being removed, or the store being suspended.
6. Pending or unsuccessful applications
If your application is pending, check the status and updates in your account. If it is not approved, read the reason provided, correct the relevant details and apply again. Do not submit someone else's documents or send identity documents through public messages.
For questions about your application, contact support. See the privacy policy for information about how your data is handled.
