Practical checks before you buy, pay and meet on campus.
1. Before you buy
Read the full listing, compare the photos and description, and ask about condition, size and availability. Check the actual store details and any verified badge. A badge does not guarantee a product or transaction.
2. Keep payment and messages on Debelu
Use checkout and order chat in the app. Be cautious if someone asks you to transfer directly outside Debelu, follow an unexpected payment link or move the order conversation elsewhere.
Never share your password or login codes. Only share your delivery PIN with the seller after you have inspected your order.
3. Choose a public handover
Agree pickup or delivery before meeting. Choose a populated, well-lit campus area such as a library, cafeteria or student centre. Avoid private dorm rooms and isolated off-campus places. Change the arrangement if you do not feel comfortable.
4. Inspect before sharing the delivery PIN
Check the actual item against the listing before confirming receipt. If it is wrong, damaged or missing, keep the PIN and report the problem from the order. Do not let urgency or pressure replace inspection.
Sharing your delivery PIN after inspection releases funds to the seller’s wallet. If no PIN is shared and no dispute is opened, funds are automatically released three days after delivery.
5. If something feels wrong
Report suspicious profiles or listings using the report option. For an order problem, save clear photos and relevant messages and follow the dispute guide. Do not send passwords, login codes or your delivery PIN to support.
