Getting started
What is Debelu?
A campus marketplace for discovering local products and student stores, selling your own items, and paying through the vault. Check each store and listing before you buy.
How do I start buying?
Browse the marketplace or ask Nduzi for help finding an item. Review the listing and seller details, agree pickup or delivery, and complete checkout in Debelu.
How do I start selling?
Create your account with Start selling, then apply with your store details, campus and student ID or admission letter. The team reviews your application before you start listing.
Buying and handover
Is it free to buy?
Buying and listing on Debelu are free. A seller service fee applies to a completed sale; see Pricing for current details.
How does delivery work?
Agree pickup or delivery with the seller in order chat. Choose a populated, well-lit location. Inspect the actual item against the listing before sharing your delivery PIN.
What if my order is wrong or damaged?
Do not share your delivery PIN. Open the order, choose Report a problem, and attach clear photos or evidence. Funds stay held during an open dispute while Debelu reviews both sides.
Selling and payments
How much does it cost to sell?
It is free to list. A service fee applies when you make a sale. See Pricing for the current fee and calculator.
When is payment released?
Sharing your delivery PIN after inspection releases funds to the seller’s wallet. If no PIN is shared and no dispute is opened, funds are automatically released three days after delivery.
Is wallet release the same as a bank withdrawal?
No. Released funds move to your Debelu wallet. Add your Nigerian bank details in store settings and request a withdrawal. Withdrawals are reviewed and sent through Paystack; check your account for the result.
What can I sell?
Use the Community Guidelines and Terms to check permitted products. Do not list illegal goods, counterfeits, scams or academic cheating services. Describe the actual item accurately.
Accounts and verification
Does every active store have a verified badge?
No. Application approval and an additional verified badge are different states. Check the badge shown on the actual store. Verification does not guarantee every product or transaction.
Which codes can I share?
Never share your password or login codes. Only share your delivery PIN with the seller after you have inspected your order.
How do I reset my password?
Choose Forgot password on the sign-in page and use the reset link sent to your email. Keep that link private. Contact support if you cannot recover access.
